1 Straw of Red Wolf
1996 PRCA Bull of the Year
ABBI#  10101771

Sire: Registered Bradford

Dam: Registered Bradford

Red Wolf, a red 2,000 pound bull, is considered by some to be the greatest
bucking bull of all time. He belonged to Don Kish before being sold to Terry
Williams at the 1996 National Rodeo Finals. Then his name was Dodge Ram
Tough. In 1996 he was the PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year and the Dodge Bounty
Bull of the Year. In 1999 Red Wolf was sold to the Herrington Cattle Company
along with Hollywood, Moody Blues, and Locomotive Breath for $200,000.The
PBR Finals in 2000 were his sixth straight appearance there.  Red Wolf is the bull
responsible for the death of Brent Thurman at the 1994 National Finals Rodeo in
1994 at the Thomas & Mack Center. In December of 1998 when Red Wolf was 11
or 12.

"Red Wolf was one of the all-time great bucking bulls. He was a big bull who
jumped really high and spent a lot of time in the air. There were no tricks to him.
It was like, here we go, if you can keep up, you’re going to win. If not, you’re
going to get slammed on the ground. He wasn’t really a mean bull, but he was
incredibly competitive. If he threw a rider off quick, he just left the arena. But if a
rider went 7 or 8 seconds on him, he’d be quivering, because he was so mad. If
you hit the ground, then he was going to run over you. And he kept bucking until
he was 12 or 13 years old. Even at that age, you could score a 90 on him, if you
could ride him.” — Cody Lambert

He was 12 Years old when they retired him. Read what the PBR had to say about
him. Click on the link Below
